Looks like you've got a pretty good candiate and that you're doing a fine
job of preparing her for what's to come ;)

Other than what you're already doing, my suggestions (based on your
description of her) would be to give her:

--Copies of previous manuals that have been well received on the project

--A tested and documented FrameMaker template for the manual

--A firm deadline with checks at intervals to make sure she's not drowning
under the load

Then get out of the way and see how she does. My guess is that she'll do
better on her own than with a lot of hand-holding.
