Is a good "time-to-market" a "fast" one or a "short" one or ...what?

And time-to-market should be hypenated, right?

Time isn't fast, so you can't use that one. (For those who want to argue the point, time may seem to pass quickly, but time itself isn't fast.)

Time can be short, though; and certainly your product can take a short time [to get] to market.

So, if you don't feel like rewriting the sentence (as suggested by others), use "short time to market."

The question of whether or not to hyphenate "time to market" in that
sentence isn't awkward at all, though: the answer is quite simply "no."
