It sounds like we'll have to PDF the docs to control how they

As browser-based read-only is desired, try posting the docs as pdfs
instead ... Just make sure the fonts are embedded. Create your own pdf
definition to standardize your settings and include the necessary
security to prevent changes. This can all be done right from Word.
You'll require the full version of Acrobat, but your users will just
need the free browser plugin which they likely already have.

There are lots of other things that having these docs as pdfs will let
you do ... too much to go into here... Check out the Adobe site.

When other employees accessed the documentation, they complained of
random page breaks and truncated text. The documents looked fine on my
machine, but I realized that not all employees have the Lucida font
