1. Invert forearm and press fingers up against the side of the desk. This
stretches out your fingers and pulls up your muscles, which is good. The
inverse -- letting your fingers drape downward -- is bad.

2. Stretch out your shoulder muscles either by doing small circles with your
extended arms or by using an overhead hanging bar (the absolute best thing
ever).

3. Spread your fingers apart and hold for 10 seconds. Then pull them all in
and hold for 10 seconds.

4. Do finger stretching exercises in hot water.

5. Wrist braces at night but NOT during the day.

6. Take frequent breaks from typing or mousing.

7. Focus on keeping your posture correct.
