Tell me HOW it works and I'll figure out how it applies to my
audience. In the reverse...it's difficult to figure out how my
audience can do something with the application if I don't know the
application even does it.

The alternative is what...for them to hand-feed to you the exact
information you need? That's no fun.

It's not the "special" companies that have figured it out how to
present the information correctly...it's that the "special" writers
have figured out what to do with the information that is made
available to them.
