Well, that would have been a good idea of I'd done it right away, but I
think I'm too far along with manually cleaning it up for that to work
now. I'll remember that if I find myself in a similar position again.

David,
Hopefully, you've made copies. <g>
Try this:
1. Copy each of the tables into separate documents.

2. Open one document, select Tools > Compare and Merge Documents from
the menu, then open the second document.

What you get is the first document with Track Changes turned on to show
the differences between the first and second document.

3. Use accept/reject changes to edit the table to the way it's supposed
to be.

4. Copy the merged table back into your real document and delete the
junk.
