It is possible, and the direct way to do this is through the
"message openfile" hypertext marker, with the full path,
such as:
message openfile c:/windows/system32/notepad.exe
(path separator is a single forward slash or double backslash \\ ).

If possible, it is better to use the same marker to create a
link to a data file associated with the required application,
such as:
message openfile file.dbx
