Ouch. It's painful to hear about tech writers getting laid off for outsourcing, as this is a threat for many of us. Now we're supposed to help you with this process? Hmm...

Subject: Outsourcing in Earnest
After laying off the User Education manager and one tech writer,
following terminating the contracts of two writing/training consultants,
we are ready to begin our outsourcing efforts in earnest. We will begin
staffing our office in Chennai soon and would like to know what
employment resources are available there for finding good tech writers.
We are looking for people with at least two years of computer
software-related documentation experience and a college degree. We know
that there is an STC chapter in India somewhere, but we would also like
to know about other ways of locating tech writers, such as recruiters,
job boards, and so forth. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.
