Mr. Smith -- I think that there are a number of writers and perhaps tech pubs managers on this list who are from India or are living and working in India now. Why not ask that group to respond to your American tech writer displacement strategy request off-list? (You also might want to use one of the online language translation apps to insure that your request is fully understood.)

It seems very odd and perhaps disrespectful that you would want US writers to assist you to successfully displace themselves and/or their local colleagues in favor of less qualified, and purposely underpaid newbies to our field.

I, for one, am truly amazed that anyone would think that it would be acceptable to not only want to displace well-educated, hardworking, knowledgeable tech writers here in the US (without just cause), but that you would ask for help in mapping out the strategies and procedures for doing so...

If your company can't afford to hire off-shoring professionals to seamlessly make this move happen for your outfit, why should that information be given away by those who are most direly affected? That makes no sense to me at all...

With all due respect, do American tech writers really seem that stupid, vapid, and self-destructive to voluntarily help any company to get rid of jobs that are so hard to come by and hold on to?

Sorry, but am I missing the point here?

peace,
