As Laurel said: Use Acrobat 6.0 to convert many .docs into 1 .pdf.
I have used this on numerous graphic intensive docs. My last run (on
Monday) was 12 .docs each approx 40 pages with approx 15
dwg/vsd/tif/jpg/bmp/gif etc illustrations in each. Sort them into the
desired order (Like ensuring Front Page is followed by TOC etc and click
ok.
The only disadvantage I have come across so far is, that Acrobat Launches
word for each 'chapter' doc and closes it when that doc has been
processed, this takes a bit of time and uses (in my opinion) too much CPU
resources.
The whole Manual, circa 500pages takes about 15 minutes to convert.
