I know that secretaries and receptionists are often the ones who hold companies together. In fact, I make a point of always being polite to them, because their cooperation can mean my own success or failure.

Even so, there are some pretty extraordinary ones out there, if you believe the ads. My favorite was an ad that asked for someone who could combine receptionist duties with UNIX system administration.
