Hi Sue,

First try exporting the CAD files in DXF format--Macromedia FreeHand and
Adobel Illustrator can open that format. If that doesn't work, try saving
them as PDFs for importing into FreeHand or Illustrator.

For the Canvas files, try exporting as EPS or PDFs.

I think FreeHand is best for mechanical drawings, but Illustrator can also
be used. Check out
