If you can't tie what you do to the bottom line, what value do you
add? Every position in every company has an impact on the bottom line
(either in sales or in savings). If the docs promote sales, GREAT! If
the docs save on support costs or keep customers coming back for
updates, GREAT!

In the end, it really doesn't matter what you work on (from a
corporate perspective) as long as the work has value. Even janitors
have value. If you're not happy with the work you're doing or the
direction your position is moving in, there are always other
opportunities.

Staying corporate-minded is the easiest way to ensure your success and
your happiness at work.
