Hi Dick,

OK when it comes to commercial publishing, I'm out of my depth, but since
your client is leery about spending lots of money on spec, can he submit
what you've written so far to publishers? If so, maybe one will be
enthusiastic enough to give him an advance on the project. That sort of
approval would no doubt buck-up your client and make him feel obligated to
you.
