I knew I hadn't made myself clear. Yes, the ONLY way to be professional is to "own" what you write, and doing a good job is personal with me as well. BUT, when you let that ownership go beyond doing a good job, and believe that everything you write is yours, you get in trouble. I have seen people take ownership too far and have problems when someone offers criticism/direction/input. I guess you can sort this out by defining "ownership." When I have a project, I "own" it because I'm responsible to complete it well with the utmost professionalism. When it's done, it's the company's property, not mine. I don't "own" it anymore.
