Michael may be correct. If this is the case, may I suggest that you might
want to work hand-in-hand with Rotary. In that there are several Rotary
clubs in the US that have programs going in India, they are working with
Rotary clubs in India. There may even be a way to become part of an
international service program for a Rotary club. This is a great way of
doing things because there is accountability. And Rotary-to-Rotary is
able to accomplish a lot.
I've checked, and your Rotary District is 5170, and the local District
Governor is Ron Sekkel, business phone is 831-335-2357. He should be able
to tell you if there is a club in the district doing work with clubs in
India. The district rotary site is http://www.rotary5170.org. I'm located
in southern California just north of Pasadena in Altadena. I'm a member
of Altadena Rotary, but it would be better if you can find help more
locally. And, if there is nothing going on with India now, your company's
need may start something.
Hope this idea works for you. Feel free to contact me offline if I can
assist you with Rotary.
