That might be fine if you knew when to apply what styles and
conventions...I might then believe you are doing it intentionally.
However, I don't think you are. If you did, you would know that you
were addressing an audience to whom usage and grammar are important
and you would have used capital letters where they are called for.
'Cmon, dude. Diotima expressed a *social* concern. The way I heard it was like this:
"When you can write sweatless rings around all comers -- in formal dialects and the more useful ones -- don't you still feel obliged to stilt your speech for employers who feel they've hired a grammarian?"
I don't. Cuss like a sailor with devs, and use trademark colorful speech elsewhere in the workplace. We're working, here. The tone used in public docs is a shirt you friggin' put on and take off, which ain't exactly hard for a pro.
All-day paint-by-numbers will crush your soul.
The grammarian game is way easy and dull as dirt. Earning and keeping clients is harder, and writing great docs is harder still.
Di, be yourself and do the work. Clients only sweat appearances if you do.
