Are you all saying that photographs can be turned into vector-based
graphics? I thought they had to be bitmaps.

Hi Joe,

Yes, that's what I mean. But every graphic we furnish is a drawing,
whether or not it contains a bitmap from elsewhere. Keeping
high-quality masters of these component bitmaps is important, but
day-to-day we can work more efficiently in vector formats.
