David and I have talked before about how I thank God daily for being laid off from my last job (when I was 5 months pregnant, mind you--tell me I didn't have a lawsuit if I wanted one!). I spent almost 2 years at home, collected unemployment while half-heartedly searching for a job, had a total of two children while I was off, and then found the greatest job I've ever had.
Think of the old lemonade cliché. If someone hands you a lemon, do you cry about it, or do you turn around and make lemonade? I've got lemonade making down to a fine art!
