Also consider tech writing and possibly developing
training documents for corporations with their own
fleets--be it one or more planes.
Years ago, while completing the Illinois Institute of
Technology's Certification Program in Technical and
Professional Communications, I worked a long term temp
project in the corporate travel department of an
international food manufacturing company. The company
had its own plane and crew. Working with the pilots,
hangar, catering, and staff at small airports in
different countries was quite interesting. You
probably have much more insight into the
behind-the-scenes efforts required to get a plane in
the air, to its destination, and back.
