Hi all, I have been asked to look at our user documentation to ensure it is section 508 compliant. I currently produce .chm and occasionally .pdf documents.

Having not gone this route before, I am unsure what I need to do. Is
anyone willing to share their tips/ideas?
Have you checked out
Web Accessibility for People With Disabilities by Michael G. Paciello (ISBN: 1929629087)

I read this for a report I did on accessibile Web design. You should be able to find some advice and tips there.

Just found this on planet pdf
and this on Adobe's site

Just a hint. Alt attributes may not be enough. In some cases, more complex graphics will require a longdesc instead. Also, you should include titles for links......hmm, that may be a WAI thing and not a Section 508. Either way, they're helpful thought.
