Le mot «e-mail» est un anglicisme lexical. On dit donc, «courriel».

[They don't say e-mail in French. It is transliterated English. They prefer their own translation.] Think of le jumbo jet and le sauce pan.

Le mot français «émail» se traduit en anglais comme «enamel». C'est
mieux dire «e-mail» au lieu de «email» (pour «courrier électronique»)
pour éviter des difficultés.

[ The French word "émail" is translated into English as "enamel". It is
better to say "e-mail" instead of "email" (for "electronic mail") to
avoid difficulties. ]

Bastille day has ended. We have now exhausted my abilities in French.
