I believe Amanda meant to say, "transition the original format to PPT."
In any case, if the source file for the PDF is Word, the following
utilities have been suggested on TECHWR-L in the past:

* SolidPDF or Solid Converter PDF
* AABBY FineReader
* Gemini Solo
* ScanSoft PDF Converter or OmniPage Pro
* TypeReader by Expervision
