Re: Word question: Heading numbering not following
I *am* using *proper* heading styles. The problems
started when I tried to apply Word's own built-in
Heading styles.
I may be missing something here but, when he wrote "proper heading styles," he was referring to Word's built-in heading styles.
The instructions he pointed to on the knowhow.com site are pretty clear and simple. Note the part about using fields and *not* using heading numbering.
I don't understand a resistance to using the built-in heading styles. They make a lot of things very easy and, in my 15 years as a Word user, haven't caused a single problem.
