TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
The problem with doing it this way is that I have no idea how standard
the references are. As an analogy, I googled "xml terminology". None of
the links in the first two pages of results went to w3.org!

Subject: Re: Telecom References
Recommend googling for "telecommunications terminology", "glossary
telecommunications", or similar strings.
You should get a lot of hits
"capture what you want" and save to your hard drive in a place where
you can refer to it again and again.
