Mike, I've done back-up data & disaster recovery procedures as well as medical device certification procedures for ISO, etc. If you'd like an example, I can dig one out and send it off list. A good book is, Establishing a System of Policies and Procedures by Stephen Page, http://www.companymanuals.com/

It's a quick read, but gives some basics about layout that is helpful, or so I found when I was thrown into writing procedures as opposed to user manuals.
