I'm with you, partly.
Worked for large companies, worked for small companies.
Best experience was working at a large company within a small group.
For me, personally, it's not so much about the size of the company.
It's about the company itself and where I fall into place. What I
consider "my favorite" of jobs was working for a very, very large
company within a small group, under the engineering heading (I'm not
fond of working in a technical publications group, I prefer to report to
the same boss as my SMEs). Enough excitement, still some standards in
place to follow so I didn't have to reinvent the wheel every other day,
and if advancement within the company was still an option. If you are
unhappy, at least in a large company there is a better chance to make an
internal move.
