On that note:

Why get an education? Because you want to learn something, or you want to prove you know something by being able to put a college degree on your resume.

When you're looking for a job, know that most headhunters never read your resume - they rely on programs that spit out resumes that contain buzzwords. If a person with lots of experience has no "college" or "university" under the Education heading, that person's resume may never get spit out.

So, you can rely on your human network to get you a job in the future (much better than headhunters anyway), or you can go to school and learn something.

I have a BS in basketweaving and a certificate in Tech Writing. This combo seems to have done well in the buzzword bingo game for years.

But now I also have a Masters in Human-Computer Interaction from Bentley College - I did that for fun as well as profit.
