Education: Started life working toward BA in Art
History, one parent a librarian, the other a
computer guy. Worked a temp job which changed my
life... who knew tech writing would be my thing?
Anyway, I switched degrees and got a BA in
English with emphasis in Tech Writing, technical
field geology with three university based
certificates with full portfolios (tech writing,
tech editing, professional writing). I
specialize
in help systems and process improvement working
with CMM, CMMI, and ISO 9001:2000 teams.
Single sourcing: I recommend starting with
RoboHelp as your single source. The output can
be many things including HTML and Word files. I
also agree that PowerPoint is not the best way to
go and argue that Word as the source is BAD.
Word brings huge amounts of useless crud into its
HTML and other conversions. Ugly way to go.
With RoboHelp, you have lots of options and
cleaner HTML results also.
