Those aren't acronyms or abbreviations. They're the actual type
designations of the aircraft, and they are the "common terminology"
of their industry. Names like "Tomcat" and "Eagle" are created for
PR use, and are mainly used for posters, movies and the boxes of
plastic model kits.

never responds with anything resembling names or common terminology; it's
much easier to just rattle off numbers: "Ya got yer 310s, yer FA-18, yer
