Re: Archiving old projects...
The issue we are trying to bypass is: when moving files, all those links to
images and other items will be broken. We want to be able to open these old
archives and have all the linked files be present. Simply moving stuff onto
CD-Rom seems dangerous, in that sense.
I've yet to discover a broken link created from the archive plugin, and I've used it in over 40 books.
BTW...when moving to a CD, if you move the files from the highest directory so that all the involved subdirectories and directory relationships are preserved, you'll not break a link
Twice a day I move my entire directory structure between my laptop and desktop and it has never caused a broken link.
