I understand your annoyance, but the reason many sites do not provide
an e-mail address is because the spammers harvest e-mail addresses
from web sites. Putting your e-mail address on a web site is a very
quick, efficient way to up your e-mail count for all kinds of
"services".

Yet another reason to not like the spam industry...
