TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Not much of a nod to accessibility either....all those colors on all
those colored backgrounds. Wow!
It looks like you can get an evaluation copy. However, from an editor's
point of view, I did quick scan of their "cleaned up" text and found
many problems just in the first two paragraphs. So, you could use it,
but then an editor would have to review all the text anyway.
I'd be interested to hear about other's experiences with software like
this though.

Wow - That is one of the most cluttered Web sites I have seen in a very
long time. =-O
I've not heard of MaxIT Checker before, and looking at the Web site, I'd
not consider trying it either.

convinced that the tool can replace an eyes-on editor, much less
significant improve bad writers. Has anyone out there had any
experience, good or bad, with this tool? Does anyone have a
recommendation for a better tool?
