I've been lurking on this thread for a few days and I have to respond.
I'm not proud to say I just agreed to one of those $24 hr contracts.
If misery loves company, maybe this will help you feel more confident in
your decision. Up until January, I was making 2.13/hour (before tips)
waiting tables. Sometimes, you simply do what you have to do.
I've always been glad that I took a typing class during the
boring summer of eighth grade. Typing 85+ wpm since the age
of 15 (now up to over 100) rescued me from ever having to work
retail or restaurants, for which I am truly grateful.
