TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
You need to go back to the source on this. Who assigned these
reviewers, and what emphasis was review assignment given (and
also, what guidelines as to due dates did you provide along with
the review request)? If the reviewers are not turning reviews
around in the required time and are not just stonewalling you
because they don't want to do it, perhaps either you or they need
to approach whoever assigned them with a request to either raise
the reviews in their priority list or to assign other reviewers who
have the bandwidth to do the reviews in a timely manner. If the
problem is just unwilling reviewers and you have made a reasonable
effort to remind them of their deadlines, then it's time to elevate the
issue. Whether to contact their next level up or to ask yours to do
it for you will, of course, depend on your local corporate custom.

How can I speed up the translation review process, in a few cases I have had
manuals under review for 6 months with repeated emails from my self on the
status of their review. This needs to be accomplished in a way as not to
upset the reviewer, as I may need to use them again.
