Is there any particular reason why a translated user manual for a
communications product would not include the tech specs appendix and the
glossary? ...both, especially the tech specs, are full of terms that
cannot be translated. So I am unsure of the value...What have other
folks done?

Hello Paul,
We do translate specifications and glossaries. While many terms cannot
be translated, often the way a specification is represented in print and
the common units of measurement are different for different parts of the
world. Translating the information ensures that the published specs can
be understood in the local market.
Glossaries also are translated...while the term may have no translation
in a particular language, the definition does...Translated definitions
are presented to local audiences for exactly the same reason we present
the English definition to English audiences...
Hope that helps...
