Tell him he's a schmuck, preferably in a meeting after others hear
his comment. Then tell him that you will NOT stand over him like a
babysitter, so if he wants any input into the document, he's to find
someone to act in his place, but only if the person he designates
acts professionaly. Otherwise, you are going to request through your
management that they find someone else....then you say you would be
happy to work with him to come up with a process that works for the
both of you.
