Now there we are. That's the hard truth. And even that isn't necessarily
condescending or obnoxious, an earlier description of my comment. I
heard a while back that America's public schools' goals were to get
graduating seniors reading at an 8th grade level. Hmmmmm.

Fact is, in a technical industry, you probably - hopefully - have people
who are capable of reading at a higher grade level, but it's the stress
factor more than their ability to read that's the deciding factor.

There's also a considerable difference between a writing for a 6th
grader and writing for someone who reads at a 6th grade level. Most of
America reads at the 6th to 8th grade level, no matter how smart or well
educated they are.
