Re: Tech writers: our pathetic lives
I have yet to edit a restaurant menu, although I have heard of other people
doing so.
That's fun! A colleague and client of mine occasionally meet for lunch. As soon as we sit down, colorful pens come out. By the time the waitcritter comes around to take our order, we've compared edits and agreed on a final revision which we present with our food order and our business cards. While, on rare occasions, the reaction is negative, usually we're thanked. I've lost count of the free drinks and desserts we've scored, and we've each gotten referrals when the restaurant managers pass on our cards to customers or friends.
