It?s like this: A lot of the information that I used for my documentation came from the business use cases. My manager later decided that the developer?s notes, test cases, and QA notes should also be included in the documentation. But since these notes are relative to specific screens, he wanted that information as close to the screens as possible.

The screens: The screens that I?m including in my documentation are very busy and crowded (loads of buttons and fields). Originally, the developers were supposed to implement rollover text in the application (pass the cursor over a field, up pops a pop-up). My manager decided that the developers didn?t have enough time to do this, so he gave me that task. But (and this is the biggie), he wanted that info presented as pop-ups.

After a little experimentation, I was able to get this effect, although the users are going to have to guess that there?s pop-up messages in the graphics.

So, the problem now is trying to get the pop-ups to remain visible longer than five seconds.
