I've been lurking and following this thread and the discussion around
"median stuck". It seems to me that the person just wrote the sentence
wrong and then someone was making a joke on the mistake.

I deleted the original post, but it said this:
.. When there was icy weather I would invariably pass a number of

I think what they meant was "I would invariably pass a number of
vehicles stuck in the median."

The verb was just in the wrong place.
