I think some of the objection to long resumes is that hiring managers are conflicted, to the point of denial, about the value of long experience (which costs top dollar) compared to what they get in a recent grad, still brimming with enthusiasm if short on experience (and not really very expensive to hire).^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
