Not really, because the real conflict is just getting upper management approves a req, any req. They seldom make much noise over 2 years experience vs 10+ (in 15 years
of this I have yet to hire a "recent grad").

For me, what it comes down to is the advice you often get about having seconds to grab and hold a manager's
attention. If your resume leads me directly to the info
that shows you have the background to support *my*
needs, your chances are much better than the candidate
whose resume looks to me as if I won't be able to find the pertinent info buried in all the other stuff without a TOC.

I think some of the objection to long resumes is that hiring managers are conflicted, to the point of denial, about the value of long experience (which costs top dollar) compared to what they get in a recent grad, still brimming with enthusiasm if short on experience (and not really very expensive to hire).
