You're assuming that the hiring manager even saw your resume, which
may not be the case if the resumes are being screened on arrival by an
HR or agency recruiter. Or an admin. Or a computer program. And
if the hiring manager did see the resume, but is not a writing pro but an engineering or other manager who has no knowledge of the profession, then anything in your resume that doesn't look like
whatever is in the job listing will just raise the noise level.
