In the 17 years I spent as an aircraft/aerospace engineer before
my first documentation job and my first computer, I don't recall ever seeing a technical document (proposal, procedure, reports) that didn't look as if it had been typed on an IBM Selectric.
The only place I ever saw anyone selecting fonts was in advertising brochures.
