I agree. I was just commenting on the wait. I've had several companies
offer me more money, not understanding that money was not the reason for my
leaving. If they do offer you more money, and you take the offer, rest
assured it will be the last raise you will ever get at that place, and more
than likely, you will not last another six months before you are replaced.
If you make up your mind to go....go and never look back.

In most cases when I have left a company because I concluded it was a
dysfunctional place to work, the only "better offer" I might have considered
would have been one in which they promised to fire a number of people
several levels over my head. I think it is a fairly rare thing for people
to leave their jobs just because someone offered them more money.
