By following them to the letter I was finally able to create the numbering sequences. I had to repeatedly delete the broken attempts that were in my Autocorrect "with" column before I could get the new ones to work. And, you *must* select the { SEQ . . .}. -> before you open Tools/Autocorrect for your new SEQ code to show up.
Then, you create a style to indent the second level, and apply it.
