Documentum/Word strikes again...
A colleague has a 300 page document with about 7 hours of edits in it that is refusing to open.
I have a copy and yep, it's corrupt all right.
The only luck I've had is opening it in WordPad, but that just yields text and a lot of odd characters. I can't see if the edits are there or not. Talking to the editor, it sounds like most of the revisions she made were changes to styles, so it's difficult to say whether the text file that I've been able to open actually contains the edits or not .
I'm in the midst of downloading Open Office. I've seen that suggested in the past. Has anyone else got a suggestion?
