Here is a link to basic Vista UI guidelines:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/UxGuide/UXG
uide/Guidelines/Guidelines.asp

I was not able to find the XP guidelines I've used in the past, but the
Vista guidelines should discuss the differences between XP and Vista.

If you really need something older, here are links to a few articles I found
on wizards:

http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb246410.aspx

http://msdn.microsoft.com/archive/default.asp?url=/archive/en-us/dnarmmc/htm
l/msdn_mmc_ui_guidelines.asp

For ideas from others in the world, you might want to take a look at the
following:

http://www.eclipse.org/articles/Article-UI-Guidelines/Index.html

I'm also sure if you search the STC you'll find numerous articles. The
following is a link to such a search, but be aware it may time out.

Speaking from personal experience the real challenge will be to have enough
wizard screens so that you can provide information without providing a novel
on each screen vs. having so many screens users feel the process takes
forever. I hope the above info helps.

Hi Everyone:

I've been asked by a developer to provide step-by-step instructions for
Wizard screen headings. I'm sure I've seen some style guidelines for them in
the past but can't find them (e.g. from Microsoft). Does anyone know where
this can be found?

Thanks!

Pete
