RE: Visuals in work instructions: how many is too much?

Use as many visuals as needed to support the instructions.  If each step
has one or more corresponding visuals, by all means include them.

Remember that in many companies, the assembly-line workers often are ESL
or immigrants.  If the instructions won't be translated, then the
visuals will reinforce the English instructions.

Also, some people do better with graphics, some with words.  By using
both, you make it easy to understand for everyone.
