I should have added that you can also open PDFs directly in Photoshop (7.0
and beyond). Using Photoshop and Illustrator together is one way to edit
PDFs (text or line art...forget it if your artwork is continuous tone -i.e.,
photographs). It's not the fastest way, because you can only do one page at
a time. It's also very frustrating if you don't know Photoshop or
Illustrator very well. But it can be done....
However, with all that said, I agree with everyone who said "get the source
files if you can."
